As an industry which supports some 270,000 jobs based across the UK, provides secure and affordable energy to millions, and contributes billions to the economy, the transition to a lower carbon future is one we must get right. We will only get one chance.
As the UK became the first major economy in the world to pass laws to tackle climate change by 2050, our industry published Roadmap 2035, one of the first comprehensive plans by a major industrial sector that sets out how we can make a positive contribution to both reduce our carbon footprint and put our skills to good work
